The Dog Who Waited Forever
A Symbol of Loyalty

Every great love story leaves its mark on history, but few have touched as many hearts as the tale of Hachiko, the loyal Akita who waited nearly a decade for his owner to return.
For nearly ten years, Hachiko kept his promise of loyalty, until his own last breath on March 8th, 1935.
His remarkable devotion caught the attention of commuters, then the media, and eventually the entire nation of Japan.
During his lifetime, a bronze statue was erected in his honor at Shibuya Station, where it stands to this day — a meeting point and reminder of the power of unconditional love.
